We just dined at this restaurant, It was horrible! Quite nasty and unappetizing. The food came pretty fast, but was not hot, it had no flavor and very salty! . It was NOT FRESH!! We asked for iced tea three times, still no refill. Quesadillas del mar were ordered and lacked flavor, dry and bland, and did not have sour cream, Asked for sour cream, charged extra. The chips were not refilled, we were a party of four, with one basket! We ordered number seven and number eight and both were salty, we did not eat the dish, and we're not offered an adjustment. We also ordered number 23 with the crab, shrimp and white sauce that too was not edible. however was offered to be replaced, we lost our appetite and declined, that was partially refunded. The chili relleno peppers were included in three of the dishes we ordered, they were disgusting, mushy, they were not hot, they were not crispy and it was like eating a soggy vanilla wafer texture, yuk! We should've known better, when we arrived there was no wait and the place was empty, we should walked out!! When you're on vacation you want to have a great experience the hotel is good but the restaurant is horrible and it reflects poorly against the hotel. I do not recommend the restaurant, don't let it spoil your vacation like it has ours.. Normally when a waitress sees that you have not eaten your meal, they normally offer to make an adjustment, offer something else, or not charge, or at least acknowledge that you did not eat. In this case that was not done we walked out spending $60 and we did not eat our meal!! On a positive note, the sweet tea was good, The chips were crispy and fresh!!!

Service was alright. Guacamole and salsa were disappointing... Along with the veggie fajitas. Pretty sure frozen vegetables were used for the majority of the veggies.

Terrible service, food was gross and took forever, sangria OK but not enough to make up for the miserable cinco de mayo. Terrible music and waited half an hour for our frozen taquitas they tried to pass off as enchiladas. Warning: don't get the queso. It's nacho cheese.

Decided to try this place while on a business trip to Cocoa Beach. I was in the mood for Mexican food and this was very close to the hotel...so why not. The food was good and the margaritas were actually pretty tasty although they were not made form fresh lime juice. The margarita mix they use was of good quality and not that "pixie stick" sugary powder taste...so I was happy. All in all, I would probably go back. It wasn't too bad but not great where I would highly recommend it,

No. I've had better. Much better. Maybe this is par for the course in FL, though. Dry rolleno, shredded & ground beef is typical, salad is bland. Chips and taco shell were good. Might come back due to lack of other Mexican food places.

Simple, great Mexican Food. Awesome wait and bar staff. The menu posted here is not from this restaurant and the website is incorrect also. I would bet the negative reviews are for the other place too. We own a vacation condo up the road in Cape Canaveral and eat here every time we are in town. My favorite dish is #14 New York Steak Sonoran Style $14.95, 12 oz. N.Y. steak smothered with grilled onions and chiles, served with a cheese enchilada, rice and beans. Not a steakhouse quality cut, but alltogether its one of the best things I have ever eaten. Bar has the biggest Tequila collection I have seen too. The guac is to die for, always fresh and has tomatoes in it, if you like that. Always the same staff over the last 8 years we have been going and they always remember us like we are family.

I just had a taste for some tacos and these are some of the best ground beef tacos I've had this far. They meet my expectations. The way the taco was cooked and wrapped around the Meat, shredded cheese and lettuce was great. It kept the meat from falling out the opposite end when biting into the taco. Would def come here again for some tacos

Horrible service, cold food, and a dishonest owner/manager - not a good combination. As a local, I take pride in the service we provide in Cocoa Beach. I have never had cold cheese dip served and then taken back to the kitchen for a simple reheat. Our waitress overbilled us and claimed we ordered something that we did not order. Then, when we asked for the difference to be removed, the manager was rude, claiming he was the owner and he would not correct the bill. Let me just say that we will not return. This is not a place for LOCALS to eat. I would rather drive to Palm Bay than to be mistreated in my own town. Too bad because before the owner changed the place was really nice. I can't believe this place stays in business.

Recommended by hotel concierge & really enjoyed our meals. Important note address is wrong on Yelp. Restaurant located in lobby of Cocoa Beach Resort. Margaritas were good, service very good & food very good. Would definitely come here again.

This place has been in the Resort on Cocoa Beach now for quite some time. I don't know how they make it. The food is over priced, the staff is horrible, with exception to one male manager/bartender (who actually has a little bit of a personality and a gives a d*mn attitude).Everyone else just seems like the patron is inconveniencing them to come in and buy something. Whether it's in the restaurant, or at the Tiki Bar out by the pool. Speaking of the Tiki Bar. The girls out there are best to stick to a job that doesn't involve customer service. God for bid if you want a drink and don't tip. There are signs (at least 4 with in a 20 foot space) everywhere that say gratuity not included in drink price, in big red letters on dry erase boards. Maybe they would get the clue that if they provided better service and worried about the customers as much as they worry about their own conversations or cell phones, or what ever else may be distracting them, they may get a good tip. As I said before the one guy that actually has a personality works inside everytime I have seen him. He actually knows how to make a drink, fairly strong too, and doesnt have to ask you whats in it or how to make it. Now I personally am a bartender so I know what should and should not go into a drink. But when I am on vacation and having to train other bartenders how to do their job such as the girls out side, its a bit annoying. Lets talk about the food. Its mediocre at best. $6 for a burrito that looks like they went to the grocery store, bought a frozen burrito, threw it in the microwave, and put it on a hot plate, with a bit of lettuce and literally 4 wedges of tomato is pretty pathetic if you ask me. Most meals are $10+ and if you decide that you want to share a plate with someone else in your group, they will "gladly add $2 to your check" as it states in the menu!!!! WOW! That alone is enough to make me want to run, not walk away from this place. The space has changed names 3-4 times in the last 10 years. It was Bongos quite some time ago. I don't know what happened to that but it was def a much better run place than this, and had live entertainment and what not. Why doesn't this place do that? Maybe they could have a late night business if they wouldn't close early. Ive been here for 5 days now this trip. Ive seen them close 3 times early. Honestly that is what prompted me to write this review. Infact, right now as I am writing this, one of the owners/managers (an older lady) just walked out of the restaurant. I asked her what time they close and she said that if its not busy they will close when they want. The posted hours of operation is until 10pm on weekdays. The door was infact locked today by 9:30 when I came down. 2 other customers tried to enter the restaurant and were also disappointed to find out that they closed early. The open sign was still on as well. I told the owner/manager about this and she said well it was slow. Really didn't seem like she cared that 2 customers may not return to the establishment. I really hope this place figures out how to run a successful business. If it doesn't I guess it will go down the drain like the other businesses before it. Best of luck guys. I hope you see the reviews and make some changes. If it wasn't for the bartender/manager and his personality and ability to make a good drink, this place would have only received one star. I suggest you do what you can to keep him around.

Late night find in the bottom of our hotel... I think the spot has been transformed lots and the Azteca is going to have a hard time making it too.... The food is OK, service really stinks, and no one seems to care if you are coming or going. Sad.

We own at this resort and this was my favorite place to eat for years. Well it's been about a year and what a year makes. I don't know if they changed owners, chef or just the ingredients but it was the worst chimichanga I have ever had. Now up to that point it was the best I've ever had so I was very upset/sad about the change. I will not be returning. :(

Last night was the first time I had visited the Azteca II, and considering I've been to several Mexican restaurants in my hometown, this one was not quite on par with what I consider a great experience. The food was good, not great - it was unexpectedly spicy - which to me was fine but goes as a forewarning to those who do not like spicy foods, there is nothing in the menu that states the food is going to be spicier than normal (I ordered the #16 enchilada meal). The service for the most part was pretty bad, the drinks took forever to initially come out, and the refills were hard to come by for most of the meal. It may have been partially due to the waiter having to handle two large groups at the time, but still, a good waiter is a good waiter in my opinion. Overall a mediocre experience for me. Hope this helps.

Our flight into Orlando was slightly late, we didn't get to our hotel until close to 10pm and had no car. The only place still open was Azteca II next door. We cut through the parking lot of the Hilton (where we were staying) and made our way into the restaurant. We were SO worried they were closed already, but fortunately, they were open until 10:30 so we just made it! The restaurant is quite festive with large booths as well as tables and a large bar. The fare is quite simple, but fresh and tasty. Prices were not too bad. I think my chicken flautas with rice and beans was somewhere around $10. For a last measure, the food was pretty good and I'd actually consider going there again if I were ever in the area again.

My husband and I went here today for lunch. I had the seafood nachos that were on the dinner menu. The nachos were kind of bland. However, we were impressed that they were loaded with shrimp and crab. My husband got a chicken burrito lunch special. It came with a side of rice and re-fried beans. My husband didn't like that they put lettuce in the burrito. He said it tasted soggy. We also ordered a banana margarita on the rocks. It was OK. However it tasted a lot like lime mixed with banana. I wouldn't order it again. The service was OK. Our hostess was more friendly than our waitress. Our final bill for lunch was around 20 bucks. So for nachos, burrito and a margarita, it was OK. I normally wouldn't go back but this place is located in the Resort on Cocoa Beach(timeshare) in Cocoa. Since we are owners, we will go back for convenience.

I love Mexican restaurants, but this one is pretty blah. I suppose it's what you could guess a hotel Mexican restaurant would be. It wasn't busy and the service was slow. The food was just okay.

  • Amanda G.

Service is mind blowingly slow. Bar tender was very nice but not the most attentive seeing as how we were the only people in there...his brother was a little better but still very slow. The food went downhill since the last time we came. The queso dip used to be very good but this time it was just like white velveeta heated up in a microwave....at least thats what it tasted like. The only good things on the menu are the ground beef tacos, the chorizo quesadillas, and fried ice cream.

In nearly 1000 reviews I'm not sure I've ever given any place one star, but this place earned it. This is the worst Mexican food I have ever had. And it's not just one thing. We tried an appetizer sampler and two combos, so about twelve items all together. Of those twelve, perhaps two were edible. And I'm counting the tortilla chips to get that high. The worst was a seafood chile relleno that honestly looked like something a dog coughed up, but didn't taste that good. Absolutely horrible.

  • Keri R.

The food was mediocre. Service was poor. My son had a large black hair in his burrito. I tried 3 different specialty margaritas and none of them were good. My seafood quesadillas tasted very fishy. This was our second time dining here and we will not be back. The complementary chips and salsa were the best part of our meal. Desserts were okay. We had flan and fried ice cream.

This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in the entire Space Coast! Coming from New Mexico, you can say I am somewhat of a snob when it comes to Mexican/Southwestern foods. I have been here NUMEROUS times and ALWAYS have a fantastic meal and the service is always great. I don't give raving reviews very often but this place deserves it! I highly recommend this, especially to those from the Southwest missing that Southwest cooking!
